Edwin's Edibles FAQ

CBD is derived from Hemp, but is not all the same. If a CBD product contains several naturally occurring cannabis plant extracts, such as terpenes and other cannabinoids — including up to 0.3% THC — it is full-spectrum CBD.

Broad-spectrum CBD also contains several cannabis plant compounds, but it is typically entirely free of THC. That said, there may sometimes be trace amounts of THC in broad-spectrum CBD products.

CBD isolate is the third common form of CBD. This is the pure form of CBD and contains no other cannabis plant compounds.
However, while these terms do carry some meaning, “CBD” and related terms do not undergo much regulation, so some manufacturers may use the words interchangeably or misuse them.

At Edwin’s Edibles, we use Full Spectrum CBD. It offers the most benefits for the entourage effect.

Simply put – The Entourage Effect means that CBD works better in combination with other cannabinoids and terpenes found in the hemp plant (including some THC) than when isolated. As a consumer, you will want to use full-spectrum CBD products for maximum benefits.

Accordion ContentWhile CBD is a naturally occurring component of marijuana, it does not cause a “high” like some may think. The CBD we offer is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. Industrial hemp is defined by US law as cannabis having 0.3% or less delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content by dry weight.

The endocannabinoid system is a molecular system responsible for regulating and balancing many processes in the body, including immune response, communication between cells, appetite and metabolism, memory, and more. Studies have shown that it is through this system of receptors and metabolic enzymes that cannabinoids interact with the human body and trigger beneficial effects.

After making gummies from a new batch of Full Spectrum Distillate, a random sample is pulled and sent in for testing. Our results are posted on our website.

Our extractor used the CO2 (carbon dioxide) extraction method. It preserves the native terpenes and cannabinoids and avoids the use of chemical solvents.

Terpenes are the natural compounds responsible for the unique aromas and flavors of all plants. Some terpenes, many of them found in CBD, are believed to also have healing properties that impact the benefit of the plant on the body. For example, a common terpene in hemp plants is Myrcene, which gives the plant its earthy aroma, and its relaxation properties are known to be beneficial for inflammation, pain and insomnia. This, along with many other terpenes in cannabis, is what makes the plant so special.

Our bodies contain two different cannabinoid receptors that help your internal system function smoothly. They help our body manage the processes that govern pain, emotions, appetite, focus, memory, the immune system and other functions. CBD works with these receptors to help the body help itself to produce a variety of potentially positive benefits. That’s why studies have shown it to be universally beneficial for such a wide variety of ailments.

Yes, in fact they are. Our recipe is based on a pate du fruit style, which uses pectin as our solidifier. There is NO gelatin in our gummies.

We always recommend speaking to your child’s doctor to see if CBD is an option for your child.

There are some studies to suggest CBD can help with sleep, but we suggest you do your own research, talk to your doctor and refer to testimonials for more information. We can say that CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating sleep in the body.

CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating and balancing anxiety and stress responses in the body. More research is being conducted all the time, but some studies suggest CBD could be a potential treatment for anxiety disorders. Consuming or using CBD alone will not cause the “high” associated with THC.
